According to ТСН: Intense battles continue in Hulyaipole and its surroundings, with the city essentially becoming a 'gray zone'.

Spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces Vladislav Voloshin reported that the situation is extremely complicated in three areas in the south. Russian troops are actively conducting assault operations, carrying out airstrikes, and widely using drones.

In the last day, about fifty combat clashes have been registered in southern Ukraine, over 30 of which occurred specifically in the Hulyaipole direction.

In Hulyaipole itself, there were 21 combat engagements. Several battles also took place on the outskirts of the city and in neighboring settlements — in the villages of Varvarivka and Zelene, as well as in the village of Zaliznychne.

Situation on the battlefield

Fierce fighting continues around Hulyaipole. According to Voloshin, Russian troops are trying to push Ukrainian defenders away from the city and adjacent villages.

'The situation in Hulyaipole resembles a large gray zone, where the enemy conducts its assault operations but cannot establish a foothold,' said the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces.

Voloshin emphasized that Ukrainian defenders are actively responding to attacks and destroying the enemy.

'We are also conducting search-strike operations, and within the city, in urban blocks, battles continue for every house, object, street, and block,' Voloshin added.

It was previously reported that the pace of Russian occupiers' advancement has significantly slowed down; currently, it is about 7 square kilometers per day. The enemy is forced to gather reserves as the speed of eliminating the invaders by the Defense Forces of Ukraine exceeds their replenishment rate.

It was also noted that in the eastern part of the Zaporizhzhia region, in the Hulyaipole direction, the Russian army has increased the number of assault groups two to three times.

The situation in Hulyaipole remains critical. Intense fighting underscores the significance of this region in the context of military actions in southern Ukraine. The continuation of the conflict leads to significant losses on both sides, and the position of Ukrainian troops in Hulyaipole is crucial for the further development of the situation in the region.
