SBU and GUR revealed details of the devastating strike on the Russian depot in Toropets: evacuation has begun.

The Security Service of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine revealed details of a devastating strike on the large depot of the missile and artillery department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the city of Toropets, Tver region.

Note that on the night against Wednesday, September 18, a series of massive explosions rocked the Tver region of Russia. Drones attacked a depot with Russian missiles and ammunition.

Local authorities partially evacuated residents of the city to the neighboring settlement of Western Dvina. Official reasons for the evacuation are not disclosed.

Russian propaganda agencies claimed that the evacuation was being carried out due to the fight against fires and air defense.

Videos of large and smaller explosions circulated on social networks. Apparently, there were several detonations.

According to the Telegram channel Astra, the drones hit the ammunition depot at military unit 54169, which had previously been captured.

According to RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainian drones, controlled by the SBU, GUR, and special services, delivered a devastating strike on the large depot of the missile and artillery department of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the city of Toropets.

The depot stored missiles for various artillery systems, as well as ammunition.

The attack resulted in massive explosions, causing panic among local residents. On social networks, people even asked if a nuclear explosion had occurred.

According to a source in the SBU, this was part of a calculated strategy to destroy Russia’s missile arsenal and protect Ukraine.

According to a source in the Main Intelligence Directorate, the strike destroyed an arsenal of missiles and ammunition, including North Korean ballistic missiles KN23 and Russian systems "Grad" and "Iskander".

The strike was carried out by Ukrainian kamikaze drones of domestic production. More than a hundred drones were used in total. The distance to the attack site was about 500 kilometers.

As a result of the explosions on the territory of the arsenal, ammunition detonated. A partial evacuation of the population was initiated in the city of Toropets. The details of the destruction of the military facility are being investigated.

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine published a video of the explosions on his Telegram channel and noted that the demilitarization of Russia is important to stop terror.
