Explosions heard in Sumy, air defense was operational.
On the night of August 7, a series of explosions occurred in Sumy, lasting nearly 14 hours. Oleksiy Drozdensko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, reported that air defense was operational in the city.
«After the enemy target is shot down, debris may scatter! This can cause damage and fires. Be cautious! If you see debris – call 15-80 or the State Emergency Service», – wrote Drozdensko.
It is currently known that city residents heard two powerful explosions. Local authorities urge to remain calm and seek shelter.
We remind you that today an alert was declared in the capital, where loud explosions were also heard.
Earlier, it was reported that in the Izmail district of the Odesa region, two people were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack. There was partial destruction of an administrative building followed by a fire. The fire was successfully extinguished by employees of the State Emergency Service.
