A 13-year-old boy in Vinnytsia caused a fire on the balcony of an apartment while playing with matches. This was reported by the State Emergency Service, citing 'Glavcom'.
According to the rescuers, one of the matches fell to the floor and triggered the fire. The boy called for adults, but they were unable to extinguish the flames on their own.
No injuries: rescuers quickly extinguished the fire
Rescuers successfully extinguished the fire on the balcony and prevented it from spreading to the entire apartment. None of the residents were harmed.
The danger of playing with fire: rescuers urge caution
After the incident, rescuers reminded about the dangers of playing with lighters and matches. They urged parents to keep these items out of children's reach and to explain the potential consequences to them.
Earlier, a music club called Mega Music completely burned down near Warsaw during a charity concert. This concert was held to raise funds to help a local resident who suffered a house fire in December.
