According to inkorr.com: The Ukrainian national weightlifting team successfully completed its performance at the U20&U23 European Championship held in Durres (Albania). Athlete Bohdan Hoza, competing in the +110 kg weight category, won a gold medal in the snatch and became the silver medalist in the overall ranking of the combined event.
The U20 women's team also stood out, becoming the European champions, while the U20 men's team received a bronze medal.
Ukrainian weightlifters overall won 9 medals in the overall ranking and 16 awards in the snatch and clean and jerk.
Success at the European Youth Olympic Festival
One cannot forget the achievements at the European Youth Olympic Festival, where Ukraine ranked 10th in the medal standings, winning 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals. This performance became the second best in the history of the country's participation in the Festivals since 1993. Impressive results in judo and other sports indicate the great potential of Ukrainian sports and the talent of our athletes.
