According to ТСН: Ukraine's representative at the Junior Eurovision-2025 Sofia Nersesyan took second place in the contest held in Georgia.

The 10-year-old artist performed in the final with the song «Motanka», which impressed with its depth and symbolism, combining Ukrainian traditions, emotions, and a modern stage style.

Bright performance

Sofia performed her number under the sixth number and immediately drew the audience's attention. She was dressed in a white suit with red tassels and heart-shaped patterns that emphasized the national character of her performance. The central element was the image of the Ukrainian motanka doll — a traditional talisman symbolizing the voice of children longing for protection, safety, and peace.

The performance struck with its emotionality, well-thought-out choreography, and impressive special effects. Sofia confidently owned the stage, and her sincerity and emotionality did not leave either the audience or the viewers behind the screens indifferent. After the performance, the hall erupted in applause, and the young singer addressed the audience with touching words:

«I love you, Europe! Thank you, Europe! I love you very much!».

Voting and results

As a result of the voting, Ukraine scored 177 points. The national juries awarded Sofia 79 points, and the highest score — 10 points — was given to Ukraine by San Marino and Montenegro. Croatia awarded 8 points, while 6 points came from Malta, Armenia, Georgia, and France.

A special achievement for Ukraine was the audience voting. Sofia Nersesyan received 98 points from the public and became the winner of the televote, which significantly affected the overall result. Thanks to the support of the audience, Ukraine became second, yielding only to France, which won this year.

18 countries participated in the “Junior Eurovision-2025”. The winner was determined by a combined system: 50% of the points from national juries, and another 50% from the audience. For Ukraine, this result marked a significant return to the leaders of the contest, as our country achieved a prestigious second place for the first time since 2013.
