Maksym Hordynets won bronze at the World Championship: the first personal medal.
According to inkorr.com: Maksym Hordynets won the bronze medal in shooting at the World Championship in Cairo, finishing in third place in the final of the rapid-fire pistol at 25 meters. In the battle for 'silver,' he had to compete against Indian athlete Anish Bhanwala, who proved to be stronger and won in the shoot-off.
It should be noted that for the Ukrainian this is the third medal at world championships, but the first personal one.
Thanks to Hordynets' success, Ukraine made it into the top ten in the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, finishing in 10th place. Our athletes performed at a high level, winning 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.
Successful performance of Ukrainian athletes
The Ukrainian team showed the second most successful result in the entire history of participation in the Festivals. At the World Summer Universiade in Germany, representatives of Ukraine also demonstrated high achievements, finishing the competition with another bronze medal, which was won by Mykola Rushiak from Sumy in the 20-kilometer race walk. In the overall medal standings, Ukraine ended up in 14th place, winning 12 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.
Thanks to the achievements of its athletes, Ukraine continues to delight fans and strengthen its position in the global sports arena.
