Ukrainian national team footballer survives knife attack on British train.
According to inkorr.com: 22-year-old footballer of the "Scunthorpe United" club, Jonathan Gdjoshe, became a victim of a knife attack while traveling by train to Cambridgeshire. The incident occurred on the way from Doncaster to London King's Cross. The attacker, 32-year-old Anthony Williams, injured 11 people during a 10-15 minute assault, which was stopped by armed police at Huntingdon station. Fortunately, Gdjoshe was able to undergo surgery and recover from the bicep injury.
In the match against the Icelandic national team, the Ukrainian football team celebrated a victory with a score of 5:3, but the next game against Azerbaijan ended in a 1:1 draw. During the match against France, the Ukrainians lost 0:2, however, the fans showed their support by unfurling a banner with the inscription
"Fortress of Europe".

Jonathan Gdjoshe found himself in a dangerous situation due to the train attack, however, the Spanish national team continues to seek victories in qualifying matches for the World Cup. The Ukrainian team demonstrates better gameplay in some matches, but still strives to qualify in their group, fighting for the opportunity to compete in the World Cup.
The incident involving the attack on Gdjoshe has drawn attention not only to passenger safety but also to sports events that continue under the tense situation in the country.
