According to the plot, after the destruction of the Kakhovka dam, the Ukrainian military conducts an examination of the territory that ended up underwater. The group is led by a fighter with the call sign Mara - played by actress Myrina Koshkina in the film. During the reconnaissance, the soldiers stumble upon a secret Soviet bunker that had been hidden at the bottom of the reservoir for decades. Once, in these underground areas, inhuman experiments were conducted on people, and their terrible consequences remain here forever: mutilated, half-decayed beings that belong to neither the living nor the dead, but embody a phantom of Soviet ideology.

This film, 'Kakhovsky Object', has become the first feature-length zombie horror with elements of action created in Ukraine. The authors of the film also consider it the first anti-Soviet action in the country. During the preparation for filming, actors-military medics were involved, and for greater authenticity, actress Myrina Koshkina underwent special training.

Among them is the first Ukrainian film in the zombie horror genre with elements of action 'Kakhovsky Object', as well as the American-British drama 'Stolen', which tells the story of a mother who goes in search of her kidnapped daughter in Beirut together with her husband, who helps find missing children.
