Ukroboronprom entered the list of the 50 best defense companies in the world for the first time.

"Ukroboronprom" entered the top 50 defense companies according to the Defense News portal, ranking 49th.

According to the Minister for Strategic Industries of Oleksandr Kamyshin, last year the concern held 65th place, so in 2024 it managed to rise by 16 positions.

"Of the hundred largest defense companies in the world, Ukroboronprom is growing the fastest — its revenue for 2023 grew by 72% to $2.2 billion. The first half of 2024 shows: we are keeping pace this year as well. Of course, no rating is our goal today, and this rapid development is, unfortunately, caused by critical necessity," noted the minister.

Kamyshin emphasized that the goal of the entire Ukrainian defense industry is one — to produce as much weaponry for the Defense Forces as possible, to produce it as quickly and as high quality as possible.

"However, looking at this rating, we see: after the victory, the defense industry will become one of the most important export directions of our economy. Ukraine will become the new arsenal of the free world," stated the minister.
