RF continues to produce missiles with Western components.
According to data from the Institute for the Study of War and the organization Frontelligence Insight, the Russian defense industry continues to use components from Western countries for missile production.
The "Ukrainian Cyber Resistance" group found SN-99 navigation modules in X-32 cruise missiles, which were released from a military base in Shaykovka, Kaluga region.
Frontelligence Insight confirmed that Russian troops used SN-99 navigation modules during strikes on Ukraine, which were produced in March 2023. It was established that the KB "Raduga" company is responsible for retrofitting X-32 missiles with SN-99 modules.
It is still unclear how Russian defense companies obtain Western components for navigation modules.
In addition, in September 2022, Conflict Armament Research found Western components in the navigation systems of X-101 and X-59 missiles.
