Fish prices dropped sharply in Ukraine: new prices for carp, herring, and mackerel.

In October, there was a decrease in prices for the most popular types of fish in Ukraine. In particular, the cost of freshwater and marine fish has significantly decreased.
According to 'MinFin', average prices for carp have significantly decreased. Currently, live carp costs 154 UAH per kilogram, which is 14% lower than in September. The price of gutted carp also decreased from 229 UAH to 214 UAH per kilogram, representing a 6.5% decrease.
Lightly salted herring rose in price by only 0.9% and costs 171 UAH per kilogram, which is slightly more than in September.
The average price for fresh sea mackerel was 164 UAH per kilogram, which is 7.5% lower than in September.
It is also worth noting that fish prices may vary across different retail chains. For example, in Auchan, live carp costs 139 UAH/kg, which is cheaper than in Megamarket (169 UAH/kg). A similar situation is observed with other types of fish, where Novus offers more competitive prices compared to competitors.
We also note that it was previously shown where it is more profitable to buy chicken and beef.
