In Ukraine, demand for Chinese cars has fallen: the most popular models have been named.
In September 2024, Ukrainians purchased about 1.2 thousand passenger cars imported from China, reports "Ukrautoprom". This is 8% less compared to the same period last year.
Out of the total number of purchased cars, 911 units were new, which is 3% more than last year. At the same time, the number of used cars amounted to 265 units, decreasing by 34%.
Chinese-made cars occupied 16% of the new passenger car market in September. In the segment of used cars registered for the first time in Ukraine, the share of "Chinese" vehicles was 1.6%.
It's worth noting that 81% of passenger cars from the PRC were electric vehicles, indicating the growing popularity of eco-friendly transport among Ukrainian consumers.
Among the new Chinese-origin passenger cars, the most popular models were:
- ZEEKR 001 - 109 units
- VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 - 103 units
- HONDA M-NV - 102 units
- BYD Song Plus - 102 units
- NISSAN Ariya - 74 units
In the segment of used cars from China, the sales leaders were:
- ZEEKR 001 - 40 units
- VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 - 26 units
- HONDA M-NV - 24 units
