A new profession has been approved in Ukraine.
The National Qualifications Agency has approved a new professional standard for deminers. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
Previously, there was no single professional standard for deminers in Ukraine, which complicated the training of specialists. The new standard creates unified training rules, which will allow veterans to be involved in humanitarian demining and ease their integration into both Ukrainian and international spheres.
Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Ihor Bezkrawaynny emphasized that the new standard will significantly expand training opportunities and allow obtaining qualifications recognized at the international level.
After the standard is approved, new requirements will be introduced into the legal framework, including the assignment of a profession code and the regulation of remuneration. An educational standard for the training of certified deminers will also be developed.
The developed standard provides for five levels of training, from the basic level for non-technical surveying to the level for demining territories and buildings.
It was previously reported that a new profession officially appeared in Ukraine – «specialist in the support of war veterans and demobilized persons».
