In Ukraine, the procedure for payments to families of deceased military personnel and police officers has been changed.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a new procedure for the payment of monetary compensation for unused vacation days to family members of military personnel and police officers in the event of their death. This was reported by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

According to the new procedure, to determine the amount of monetary compensation for annual basic leave and additional leave in case of death of military personnel and police officers, the number of calendar vacation days established for such categories of workers is used.

for military personnel:

• basic leave - from 30 to 45 calendar days, depending on years of service;
• additional leave - from 2 to 15 calendar days, depending on the place of service and position.

for police officers:

• basic leave - 30 calendar days;
• additional leave - from 1 to 15 calendar days, depending on years of service.
