Valerii Kharchyshyn on Brezhneva: She Chose Ukrainian Identity.
According to inkorr.com: Musician Valerii Kharchyshyn expressed his opinion on the civic stance of the former soloist of 'VIA Gra', Vera Brezhneva, with whom he now works in the duet 'Duga Rika'. Kharchyshyn supports her decision to choose Ukrainian identity and to collaborate together.
'She chose her identity. She is Ukrainian. If she switched to Ukrainian, if she chose Ukraine, and identified herself as Ukrainian – then it is normal', – Kharchyshyn said.
Regarding Brezhneva's tours in the countries of the former USSR and performing songs in Russian, Kharchyshyn noted that this is not the best decision. He called for a focus on promoting the Ukrainian language and culture, which remain less known to the global audience.
