Biathlete Christiansen may change citizenship: conflict with Norwegian coaches.
According to inkorr.com: Vetle Sostad Christiansen shared his thoughts on participating in competitions and his diagnosis in an interview with 'biathlonworld.com'.
This outstanding Norwegian biathlete impressed everyone at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, where he won two medals: gold in the relay and bronze in the mass start. Additionally, he has many other impressive achievements at world championships.
The very intention to push yourself is the wrong path: train more, improve yourself. Instead, to improve, you should train smarter.
Christiansen also reveals that he lives with obsessive-compulsive disorder. 'You always want to do everything at a high level, but perfection does not exist,' he says.
The athlete reflects on the possibility of changing citizenship, expressing criticism towards the coaching staff of the Norwegian national team regarding the quality of their work.
In his interview, Vetle Sostad Christiansen candidly spoke about his sports achievements, struggles with inner demons, and possible radical changes in his life.
The athlete's performance on the international stage and his openness about personal challenges remind us of the importance of mental health in sports. Whether he will manage to cope with difficulties and continue to achieve success remains to be seen. Changes in his career could mark a new phase for both Christiansen himself and Norwegian biathlon as a whole.
