Ukrainian producer responded to Kirkorov and Baskov: banned from entering the Russian Federation

According to ТСН: Ukrainian singer and producer of the 'Music Platform' Gennady Viter shared his thoughts on the reaction of Russian colleagues at the beginning of the war in Ukraine. In particular, he was outraged by the silence of Philip Kirkorov and Nikolai Baskov. Viter, well acquainted with the Russian show business, could not understand why they were not reacting to the events. He decided to send them messages with criticism, which ultimately led to him being included in the sanctions list of the Russian Federation and banned from entry for 49 years.

'I ended up on the sanctions list of the Russians as non-admissible for 49 years twice. The first time – under the surname Viter, because I started to terrorize the entire Russian show business. After six months, they found my real surname and added me again', - the singer says on the project 'I am interested'.

He particularly 'bothered' Kirkorov and Baskov by actively calling and writing to them. Kirkorov had to change his phone number twice already, but that did not help, as his Telegram account remained unchanged.

'I terrorized Kirkorov, Baskov. I called them and wrote. Kirkorov has already changed his phone number twice because of me. Stupid guy, because he did not change Telegram, there was still a way to reach out', - says the artist.

It is also worth noting that recently Austrian pianist Elizabeth Leonskaya paid for her performances in Moscow during the war — her concert in the Netherlands was canceled.

This situation shows the consequences that artists may face for betraying their principles during a conflict. Criticism from colleagues can be quite severe, as in the case of Viter, who found himself in the spotlight due to his stance. Perhaps this will inspire other cultural figures to think about their responsibility in such difficult times.
