Military personnel will receive additional leave: who can get it and for what period.


Ukrainian military personnel receive additional leave for marriage and childbirth. Ukrainian media report this.
According to Ukrainian legislation, military personnel can receive up to 10 days of leave for marriage. Regarding the birth of a child, military personnel are granted 14 days of leave, which can be taken within three months from the day of birth.
Additionally, female military personnel are granted maternity leave for 70 days and 56 days after childbirth. They are also given leave to care for a child up to three years of age.
Besides this, military personnel are granted an annual leave of up to 30 days, medical leave depending on their health condition, leave for family circumstances, and for marriage. For each unit of destroyed enemy equipment, up to 15 days of leave per year may also be granted.
Military personnel who have returned from captivity are granted additional leave of 90 days without division into parts.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is introducing a new procedure for the submission and consideration of reports.
