Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the 'Boriskovlyebsk' airfield: an ammunition depot and aircraft destroyed.
On July 5, the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a strategically important Russian airfield 'Boriskovlyebsk' in the Voronezh region. This operation was conducted along with other military units to limit the enemy's capabilities to attack Ukrainian territory.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 'Boriskovlyebsk' airfield was used by Russian occupation forces for the basing of military transport aircraft carrying out shelling of civilian facilities in Ukraine.
During the conducted operation, a depot with guided aviation bombs was destroyed, a combat training aircraft was eliminated, and possibly, other enemy aircraft were damaged. The true results are currently being clarified.
Strategy of the Ukrainian Military
As part of the strategy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the liquidation of Russian military facilities used for attacks on Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure of the country is planned.
The strike on the Russian airfield 'Boriskovlyebsk' is part of the strategy of the Ukrainian military to capture and eliminate important enemy facilities to protect the territory of Ukraine from possible attacks.
