In August 2025, some military personnel will have the opportunity to receive double payments. This new program provides additional funding for those who sign their first contract for military service in the Armed Forces, with an initial payment of 24 thousand UAH.According to Law 2232-XII 'On Military Duty and Military Service', the amount of additional payments will depend on the rank of the service member and the duration of the contract. This means that privates may receive 24.22 thousand UAH for a three-year contract, sergeants and warrant officers – 27.25 thousand UAH for contracts longer than three years, while officers may receive 30.28 thousand UAH for contracts of one year and longer.To receive these payments, citizens must sign a contract and begin performing their duties. It is important to note that double payments are not provided for those who re-sign contracts after discharge or transfer to another position. A new bill regarding the financial support of military personnel has previously been announced, as well as the impact of this support on their pensions, which may be reduced due to payment limits of up to 100 thousand UAH.
