Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife Olena Zelenska took part in the opening ceremony of the Memorial of Memory of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people in Kyiv.

As reported in the President's Telegram channel, Crimea is not just a territory, but a part of our soul, a land where our people lived with their culture, language, and traditions.

"We are not just fighting for the return of Crimea - we are fighting for justice, the opportunity to return home to every Crimean in a free Crimea free from Russia. Today we are opening a Ukrainian memorial dedicated to the tragedy of the Crimean Tatar people. And someday, a similar memorial will appear in our free Crimea," Volodymyr Zelensky said.

The President expressed confidence that Crimea will become free.

"This is the task of the whole world together with Ukraine," Zelensky added.

It is worth noting that on Wednesday, September 11, a new summit of the "Crimean Platform" will be held in Ukraine.
