According to The Sun: Anne Hathaway experienced a terrifying moment when she fell down a stone staircase while filming a scene for the sequel to 'The Devil Wears Prada.'

Several actors from the original movie, including Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, will return in this long-awaited installment.

The 42-year-old actress remained on the floor after the fall, portraying the character Andy Sachs in New York.

She was wearing a stylish jumpsuit with a black pleated mini skirt. Adding a touch of glamour, massive heels with colorful studs likely caused her to fall.

In the video, Hathaway is seen losing her balance and falling down the stairs after stepping off the step. It appears to be unplanned, as the producers quickly called for help upon seeing the heel on her right shoe had broken.

About the sequel's plot

The new film confirms that Miranda Priestly will remain the head of Runway, while Emily Blunt's character, Emily Charlton, has become the executive director of one of the luxury brands advertised in the magazine. Now Emily holds the power that Miranda depends on to save her publication, while Andy has become the magazine's editor and re-enters Miranda's world.

In the original film, it was subtly hinted that Andy and her partner Nate might break up as Nate gets a job in Boston, and Andy leaves Runway for a new career at a local newspaper.

This year, Anne was spotted filming again in New York, this time in a colorful maxi dress by Gabriela Hearst with a blue suitcase, and in another shot - in a dark pinstripe suit with black shoes and a shoulder bag.

Cast news

Earlier this year, it was announced that a BBC star is set to play the new love interest of Anne's character.

The Australian actor, known for his roles in 'No Activity' and 'Colin From Accounts', has joined the sequel's cast.

Although it hasn't been confirmed who the 49-year-old actor will play, New Idea reported that Patrick Brammall will play a new love for Anne's character.

The cast also includes American actress Rachel Bloom, known for the series 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.'

The film 'The Devil Wears Prada' earned $326 million at the global box office, and Meryl Streep received an Oscar nomination.

Recently, a deleted scene from the original 2006 film surfaced, surprising fans.

The video features a scene at a ball where Miranda's husband, who wasn't in the rest of the film, appears. In this scene, Andy helps Miranda with business problems related to her husband and her marital situation.

Miranda thanks Andy for her help - a rare display of softness for such a fierce businessperson.

Fans were glad that this scene did not make it into the film, as they felt that the character's soft side 'was out of character' for Meryl's role.
