Dismissal of Will Steele from the coaching position
According to The Sun: Will Steele was relieved of his duties as head coach of Southampton after just 16 matches in the role. The team found itself in the relegation zone following a 2-0 home defeat to Preston, leaving them in 21st place in the table.
Steele joined Southampton in the summer, moving from Lens where he had spent seven years, gaining experience in Belgium and France.
“We deserve a better result than what we've shown recently,” the club's management commented on his dismissal.
The team is currently going through a tough period, with fans and management expressing serious concerns about its performances. The next steps for the club could and should be critically important for improving the situation in the league.
