According to The Sun: YUNGBLUD made a touching gesture in honor of the late Ozzy Osbourne during his performance at the MTV VMAs.

The singer took the stage alongside Steven Tyler, Joe Perry of Aerosmith, and Nuno Bettencourt to honor the rocker’s career by performing a medley of his greatest hits after Ozzy's death in July.

During his performance, Yungblud showed the cameras his invisible gold cross and kissed it as he prepared to go on stage. Fans noted that this accessory is the same cross that Ozzy gifted to the young artist before his death.

Viewers actively discussed this connection on social media.

“Dom plays Crazy Train with the necklace that Ozzy gave him, still on him,” wrote one person on X. Others also expressed their emotions about the touching tribute.

During an interview on the red carpet with E! News before the show, Yungblud showcased his memorable accessory and noted that Ozzy is “here with me” throughout the night.

Timeless Bond

Ozzy was a mentor to Yungblud during the latter years of his life and gifted him the cross at his farewell concert this summer.

Before the performance, the singer received a personal video message from his son, Jack Osbourne, and grandchildren.

Ozzy passed away on July 22 from “acute myocardial ischemia” and “cardiac-respiratory arrest,” as stated in the late musician's death certificate.

He was buried by a lake on his estate in Buckinghamshire a few days later, surrounded by friends and family.

The star of 'The Osbournes' had suffered from various health issues for many years, including Parkinson’s disease.

His wife, Sharon Osbourne, constantly supported Ozzy during his health struggles and was in tears during the funeral. Also present at the ceremony were his son Jack, daughters Kelly and Aimee, and many famous friends including Marilyn Manson, Elton John, and members of Black Sabbath.

Yungblud was also at the funeral to say goodbye to the singer.

“I didn’t think you’d leave so fast. The last time we met, you were full of life, and your laughter filled the room,” wrote Yungblud in a heartfelt post on Instagram on the day of Ozzy’s death.

“But, as it’s written about legends, they seem to know things we do not. I will never forget you – you will be in every note I sing and with me every time I step on stage.”

Yungblud also mentioned that the necklace is the “most precious thing” in his life and that he “fell apart” due to the loss of a music legend.
