The First Lady of Ukraine talked about the president's back problems
Olena Zelenska, the First Lady of Ukraine, in her interview for the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, revealed that her husband, President Volodymyr Zelensky, often has back problems due to heavy workload and stress.
«A thousand days of war have tempered my husband. Stress destroys his back», - said Olena Zelenska.
The First Lady also shared that the president has changed during the war, becoming more sentimental, stubborn, purposeful, and resilient.
Moreover, Olena Zelenska talked about the impact of the war on their children. The eldest daughter is focused on her studies but has no plans for the future, while the younger son dreams of becoming a soldier. She mourns the loss of childhood and adolescence for her children and all Ukrainian children.
The First Lady also reminisced about the period of power outages in their home during massive strikes on the energy infrastructure. She also recalled the times when Ukrainians returned to life by candlelight.
In her comment about the photoshoot for Vogue magazine, Olena Zelenska explained that she wants to draw attention to Ukraine. She denied accusations of «glamorizing war» and claims that the shoot was the right decision.
