Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that security guarantees should be included in the resource agreement with the USA. He stated this during a meeting with journalists. Zelensky requested that the framework agreement specify 'Ukraine's security guarantees'. He also noted that the effectiveness of the agreement will depend on negotiations with US President Donald Trump.

'I strongly requested that at least an understanding appears that we see this equally as part of future security guarantees. Therefore, even in the framework agreement, I really wanted to see at least the sentence 'Ukraine's security guarantees', the president noted.

Zelensky also reported that he received an invitation to visit the USA and that it might occur on Friday. He stated that it is very important for him to hear that US assistance will not be stopped. After visiting the USA, Zelensky plans to meet with European colleagues in London.

Regarding the resource agreement, Zelensky mentioned that it does not entail any debt obligations for Ukraine. He also reported that Ukraine and the USA will be partners in an investment fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine. The agreement on rare earth metals provides for the reimbursement of 50% of Ukraine's income. Zelensky also mentioned the possible deployment of foreign peacekeeping forces in Ukraine, noting that eight countries view this idea positively.

The president stressed that the role of the USA is crucial in this matter and that everything depends on the number of countries and the composition of the troops. He added that Ukraine is taking steps in this direction, but there is still a different vision regarding the quantity.
