Draw of the Ukrainian Basketball Cup: hosts of the first stage determined.
According to inkorr.com: The Basketball Federation of Ukraine announced the results of the draw for the first stage of the Ukrainian Cup among men's teams for the 2025/26 season. The matches will take place in three arenas: in Dnipro, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kyiv.
12 teams will participate in the competition, including 10 representatives from the Super League, as well as 'DiDiBao' from the Higher League and 'Chaika-VMSU' from the First League. In the first stage, teams from different cities of Ukraine will compete: Dnipro, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Prykarpattia, Cherkasy, Niko-Basket, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, DiDiBao, Kryvyi Rih, and Kharkiv Falcons.
Pre-qualification for the World Championship 2027
In the final round of pre-qualification, the Ukrainian national basketball team achieved victory over Slovakia with a score of 98:86. Overall, the team won twice in this tournament.
In the second round, the Ukrainians also defeated the Slovaks, this time with a score of 80:71. However, in the first round, the team lost to Switzerland by a narrow margin of 64:66.
