A total of 42 teams have already confirmed their participation, and another 6 will be determined in March 2026. The intercontinental playoff will consist of two finals, while the European playoff will feature 12 teams that finished second in their groups and 4 best group winners of the UEFA Nations League. The FIFA ranking, according to which the draw will be conducted, will be published on November 19.

Currently, 28 teams have already secured their spots in the World Cup, and another 14, including Ukraine, will have the opportunity to compete in World Cup 2026.
