Olena Lavrenyuk explained the disappearance of Delong from the series: conflicts during filming.
According to ТСН: The actress and producer of the series "Coffee with Cardamom" Olena Lavrenyuk revealed for the first time the reasons why Polish actor Pawel Delong is not participating in the second season of this popular project.
After the premiere of the second season, fans of the series began to actively wonder why Pawel Delong disappeared from the plot. The producer explained this in an interview with Alina Dorotiuk, mentioning that she had avoided the topic for a long time so as not to spoil the love story between Anna and Adam.
Reasons for Pawel Delong's absence
According to Olena Lavrenyuk, the team's plans included continuing the story, but serious problems arose on set. She emphasized that Pawel Delong's behavior was "absolutely unprofessional," which negatively affected the actors and the technical team.
Lavrenyuk pointed out that the actor refused to perform scenes according to the script, demanded changes during filming, and even belittled members of the crew. This caused significant difficulties during the filming process.
"Pawel is a great actor, but his behavior on set was absolutely unprofessional and inadequate. Everyone suffered: the crew and the actors. It reached manipulation and even terror. He didn't want to play the scene as it was written or wear a jacket. This happened day after day. He belittled the director and the entire team. It became impossible," the producer stated.
Contract issues
Olena Lavrenyuk explained why contractual conditions did not resolve the situation. She noted that the actor abused the force majeure clauses, threatening to disrupt the filming process, which forced the production team to compromise.
The most severe conflicts arose after a significant portion of the material was filmed. Delong insisted on having control over the project, claiming that he was "the screenwriter, director, and producer of the series" and demanded copyright for the continuation of the series in Poland. In case of refusal, he threatened.
Another conflict arose during the sale of the series to a Polish TV channel when Delong claimed to have copyright, supposedly as a director and producer, even though this was not true. This complicated negotiations and forced the Ukrainian side to involve lawyers. Lavrenyuk also commented on accusations regarding financial matters, stating that Pawel Delong spoke about the absence of a fee, although he actually refused it himself.
Recently, a conflict arose in society due to the national selection for "Eurovision-2026", when the producer of singer Olya Polyakova accused Jamala of lying.
The situation with Pawel Delong is a clear example of how important it is to maintain professionalism on set. The responsibility of each participant in the project plays a key role in creating a quality product, and any conflicts can have serious consequences for the entire production.
