Energy Community: Certification of Ukrenergo Will Not Hinder Electricity Imports in Winter.

The Energy Community refuted statements about the possible loss of Ukraine's electricity imports from the European Union due to certification issues with the company "Ukrenergo".
The organization stated that the certification of "Ukrenergo" took place long before the war to align its management with EU standards. To say that this process will affect electricity imports from the EU to Ukraine in winter is untrue. Ensuring reliable energy supply, especially in cold weather, is achieved through energy imports, which are crucial for maintaining basic services and public wellbeing.
The Energy Community expressed regret over the use of an internal letter from the Secretariat of the Energy Community, addressed to NKREKP, to disseminate such claims. Previously, an energy expert opined that Ukrenergo might lose certification confirming its ability to operate in accordance with European standards.
The organization emphasized that the priority is to support Ukraine's energy resilience through practical measures, including electricity imports and infrastructure repairs.
