A traveler who toured the world for two months straight has revealed how she only spent $700 on food.

In a video, the influencer (@skylietravels) explained how she ditched her paychecks to fulfill a lifelong dream of seeing the world. Because she didn't have a steady income, she made sure to stretch her dollars to make the most out of her experience.

One of Skylie’s money-saving techniques was to only fly economy class and not check luggage. She managed to take multiple flights across the US, Europe, Africa, and Asia spending only $5,000 with her hacks.

When it came to accommodations, Skylie spent $5,300 on her lodgings, staying in three luxurious hotels and seven other more affordable places.

Skylie shared that she saved a significant amount of money on food by avoiding fine dining experiences and opting for cheap snacks or meals included in her hotel stays. Over two months, she spent only $700 on food.

Despite her economical approach to dining, Skylie still managed to experience the local culture through dishes such as pottery kebab, ramen, traditional tajine, and 7/11 snacks.

For activities, Skylie spent $1,400 on events like a three-day Sahara Desert tour in Morocco and real-life Mario Kart racing in Japan. She also allocated $400 for miscellaneous purchases such as books and souvenirs, and $600 on transportation.

Overall, Skylie spent $13,500 on her two-month world tour, impressing her followers with her budgeting skills, especially her low food expenses.

Many of her followers praised her for the cost-effective approach, highlighting that experiences are invaluable and worthwhile.
