UNHCR has started registration for financial assistance: who can receive 10,800 UAH.
Registration for the multi-purpose assistance program from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in one of the Ukrainian cities has begun. Citizens will receive financial support for a three-month period, representatives of the organization report on their Telegram channel.
Rules for providing cash assistance from UNHCR
The program provides for a one-Time cash assistance for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees living in the city of Okhtyrka in the Sumy region. Important conditions for participation in the program are: the displacement period of no more than six months, no similar assistance from other organizations for three months, and the presence of vulnerability criteria, such as single parents, elderly people, or individuals with disabilities.
The income of one family member should not exceed 5,400 UAH per month.
The amount of financial assistance and the application procedure
The amount of cash assistance in 2025 is 3,600 UAH per person per month for three months. In total, each family member will receive 10,800 UAH. To apply for assistance, you need to register by calling the data collection point in Sumy. You must have your passport, identification code, documents confirming the vulnerability criteria, and other necessary documents with you.
Thus, UNHCR provides financial assistance to internally displaced persons and refugees in Okhtyrka, helping to alleviate their social situation in Ukraine.
