The minimum wage in Poland exceeded the Ukrainian one by six times

In Poland, the minimum wage exceeded the Ukrainian one by six times, reported Polish Radio.

From the beginning of 2025, Poland has raised the minimum wage. Now the base monthly salary is 4666 zlotys, which is approximately 1132 US dollars after taxes. This is 366 zlotys more than before.

The hourly wage has also increased and now stands at 30.50 zlotys per hour of work, compared to 28.10 zlotys before.

In Ukraine, the minimum wage is 8000 hryvnias per month, which equals about 190 US dollars after taxes. Compared to Poland, this is significantly lower. A worker receives 'in hand' 6160 hryvnias after taxes.

In Poland, there has been a gradual increase in the minimum wage. In 2023, it initially was 3490 zlotys, and in July it rose to 3600 zlotys. In 2024, the wage was raised to 4242 zlotys in January, and to 4300 zlotys in July. Currently, it stands at 4666 zlotys, which equals 1132 US dollars.

Remember that Ukrainians were warned about possible problems at the border with Poland.
