A large fire at the oil depot in Engels, Saratov region of Russia, continues due to an attack by Ukrainian drones. The situation is so serious that the authorities have declared a state of emergency in the region.
The Governor of Saratov region, Roman Busergin, is trying to minimize the scale of the disaster, calling it 'controlled burning of fuel at an industrial facility'. According to him, the burning process may last for another two days.
It is worth noting that the Russian authorities are avoiding direct mentions of attacks on strategic facilities and are trying to conceal the actual scale of the damage.
The declaration of a state of emergency in the region indicates serious consequences of the attack by Ukrainian drones on this important infrastructure facility.
We remind you that on January 8, a strong fire occurred at the oil depot in the Engels area.
