Air Baltic is ready to resume flights from Ukraine after the 'opening of the airspace'. According to Air Baltic's first vice president, Thomas Ramdahl, the company will operate flights from Ukrainian airports until the full invasion. In 2019, Air Baltic transported nearly 220,000 passengers. The airline is particularly active in cooperation with Lviv airport, and since 2020 they have opened flights from Boryspil airport, the press service of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine reported.
'We have consistently stated our plans that Air Baltic will be the first airline to return to Ukraine when it is safe, and we are committed to that promise. The safety of our employees, passengers, and operations will always be our top priority, and after our second personal visit to Kyiv, preparations for our return are in full swing. We look forward to restoring vital air connections and contributing to the recovery of Ukraine's aviation,' said the first vice president of Air Baltic.
