In the Donetsk region near Pokrovsk, an event occurred in which more occupiers died than in 10 years of the military conflict in Chechnya. This was reported by the spokesman of the military group 'Khortytsia', Viktor Trehubov, during a telethon.
According to Trehubov, in January, there were losses of 7000 military occupiers from Russia, while in the Second Chechen War, the official report stated 6000 dead. He also mentioned that these losses did not occur during the assault on Pokrovsk but rather due to the encirclement of the city.
'That is, in a month on one front, they lose as much as they lost in modern conflicts,' Trehubov noted.
Vladimir Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, spoke in an interview with Reuters about the strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine that resulted in the deaths of 20 officers from North Korea and Russia. Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that this control point was located in an abandoned building and was used to coordinate Russian troops attacking Ukrainian positions in the Kursk direction. The operation led to significant damage to the building and considerable losses among the adversaries.
Additionally, the total number of losses of Russian military personnel during the Kursk operation amounts to approximately 40,000 individuals, with over 16,000 reported dead. This information was released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the primary aim of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's operation in the Kursk region was to prevent the enemy's advance into the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. This goal has remained unchanged for 6 months.
