The Ukrainian SBU commented on the explosion in Rivne
The Security Service of Ukraine revealed details of the terrorist act that took place in Rivne. According to the SBU, the terrorist who was detonated in the military enlistment office building was recruited by Russian special services. The man deliberately brought explosives into the high-rise building, which led to his death and the injury of military personnel.
According to investigators, the terrorist turned out to be a 21-year-old man from Zhytomyr region, who later detonated himself along with the explosive device inside the military enlistment office. It was established that he was recruited by representatives of the Russian special services through telegram channels. They offered a monetary reward for carrying out the task.
The explosive was rigged to a mobile phone, to which the Russian special services had access. They recorded the moment when the agent entered the military enlistment office building with the explosives and activated it.
An investigation into the terrorist act has now been initiated. Additionally, the SBU reported a successful special operation to prevent a terrorist act in the center of Rivne and the detention of two agents of the Russian special service.
