10 countries where tourists feel out of place.
Ukrainian tourists often feel like outsiders in Thailand due to the low level of English proficiency and the not very friendly attitude of the locals. This is evidenced by a study conducted by Ubuy, which included various criteria such as language, safety, and friendliness.
According to the results, Thailand scored 98.9 out of 100, which turned out to be the worst performance among the surveyed countries. The UAE also received a high rating with an overall score of 96.9, but also proved to be unfriendly to tourists due to the low level of English proficiency and the unfamiliarity with the local culture.
Other countries where tourists often feel like outsiders include Mexico, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Japan, Brazil, India, and Turkey. In these countries, tourists may also feel cut off from the world due to language barriers and incomplete understanding of local culture.
Places where tips are considered unacceptable
In many countries, tipping is part of the culture, but there are some places where this practice may be unacceptable and even offensive. If you are planning to travel, it is important to know where tips are not accepted to avoid awkward situations.
There are seven countries where it is better to say 'thank you' and not leave a tip. They believe this means inconvenience for the server. Tipping is forbidden in Japan, China, Korea, Cuba, the Philippines, Thailand, and Zimbabwe.
