How is the Russian Federation trying to protect the Crimean Bridge? Answer from the Navy.
The Crimean Bridge, despite the absence of marine components for its defense, is maximally protected by the Russians. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pletenchuk.
This object is quite tightly guarded by the Russians. And despite the fact that the marine component is now practically absent for its defense, they are building other mechanisms that, in principle, should compensate for the absence of ships at sea," noted the Navy spokesperson.
Pletenchuk also added that the Russians are building various hydraulic structures, pontoons, barges, and other unclear constructions near the bridge.
This includes aviation, which is constantly present in the air. So they are trying to protect this object to the maximum," emphasized the spokesperson.
It is also worth reminding that the Ukrainian defense forces have developed a plan to return Crimea under Ukrainian control and destroy the Crimean Bridge. Crimea is strategically important for Russia in terms of military logistics and supply, as the Russians use the peninsula as a military base.
