How volunteers and police rescue children from the front line (photo).
In the Kurakhiv community, located between Pokrovsk and Vuhledar on the front line, the evacuation of civilians is underway. Since the beginning of September, shelling from Russia has significantly increased and can occur several times a day. This was reported by a "Glavkom" correspondent who accompanied Kurakhov police officers during evacuation trips.
The task of evacuating children in the community was set in mid-August. It then became clear that Russia's advance on Pokrovsk threatened this community.
Some parents convinced the police during the evacuation that their children had already left, while they themselves hid as far away from home as possible, or with neighbors.
«Mainly, I receive notifications about children from concerned individuals, as they trust me, or I receive messages from schools about those who have missed classes. After this, we conduct checks, determine whom the children are contacting, and locate them», - says Kostyantyn Tunitsky, community police officer.
Details about the evacuation of children from the front line can be found in the "Glavkom" article titled "Children on the frontline. Rescue against the will of the parents".
