A soldier beat his friend – how the court punished him in Odesa region.
A soldier from Odesa region beat his friend during a drunken feast. The victim was offended and filed a lawsuit against him – the case was heard in the Savran District Court.

Details of the case
A soldier from the village of Yosypivka, Savran district, was consuming alcoholic beverages at the home of a friend. After arguing with the host, the serviceman became angry and suddenly beat him. The owner of the premises documented minor bodily injuries and filed a lawsuit against the soldier.
What the court decided
The court found the soldier guilty under part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (deliberate minor bodily injury). He has to pay a fine of 850 hryvnias.
