Lyman captured from the sky: how fiber optics of drones is changing the picture of war

According to ТСН: Ukrainian drone pilots captured on video Lyman in the Donetsk region, where Russian troops concentrated their main strike potential. The city, despite all the difficulties, is covered with the "web" of fiber optics - a result of the work of drones.

This was reported by the 63rd separate mechanized brigade, which is part of the Third Army Corps.

"Difficult footage that vividly demonstrates how the war is changing. Now the intensity of hostilities can be determined not so much by destroyed buildings, but by the amount of fiber optics."

Lyman was filmed on video by the reconnaissance company of the 63rd brigade. The city continues to hold on, albeit gradually being covered by the "web" from drones. Hundreds of both enemy and Ukrainian drones are in the air daily, and each leaves its mark.

The situation in Lyman

The Russian command has sent reserves of the 20th army against the defenders of Lyman, giving them an advantage in infantry numbers from 6 to 10 times. The spokesman of the 60th OMBr, Maxim Bilousov, notes that despite this pressure, Ukrainian forces continue to defend the approaches to Sloviansk. The natural obstacle - the Siverskyi Donets River - as well as the multilayered defense system complicate the enemy's swift breakthrough, even if the city is lost.

In conditions of constant external pressure, Ukrainian defenders show resilience and strategic thinking, maintaining control over key positions. Drone operations are becoming increasingly important for conducting modern warfare, opening new opportunities in combat on the Ukrainian front.
