Recently, more and more young people are starting to distance themselves from regular caffeinated coffee and switch to decaf. This new trend is becoming increasingly popular, especially among Generation Z. This is reported by the publication 'Glavcom' citing Baltijas Balss.

Euromonitor statistics show that 46% of consumers of all ages are considering reducing caffeine intake, and nearly 50% of young people drink decaf at least twice a week.

This demand for decaf is reflected in the market. Manufacturers of caffeine-free coffee report an increase in sales. And this applies not only to the USA and Europe but also to Asia.

Some people have the recommendation to switch to decaf. Gastroenterologist Serhiy Lopatyn notes that caffeine-free drink is recommended for people with chronic gastrointestinal diseases, cardiovascular and nervous system issues, sleep problems, as well as for pregnant women and those particularly sensitive to caffeine.

However, if you have no health issues, switching to decaf may be pointless. Ultimately, caffeinated coffee has a unique taste and aroma that we love in this drink. The main recommendation is not to overdo it: you can drink 2-3 cups of good coffee a day.

Persistent dizziness and headaches made Christopher Megrat give up his favorite drink and try something new - green tea.
