According to a CBS News poll, most Americans do not support the idea of elected President Donald Trump to annex Greenland. However, among Trump's supporters, there are those who back this idea, but overall it is not popular outside the US.
The results obtained showed that 61% of respondents oppose Trump's proposal to annex Greenland. However, among the politician's supporters, the situation is different - 68% of Republican voters support this idea.
A significant portion of surveyed Americans (54%) sees Trump's plans to buy the island as just part of trade policy, while 46% of respondents believe that these statements indicate a real desire to expand US territory.
