Real Betis launched a new clothing line with Antony

According to The Sun: The team "Real Betis" presented a new clothing collection with their new signing Antony, which will help cover the costs of his transfer from Manchester United for 21.6 million pounds.

The coaching staff of the club was confident that the Brazilian winger fit perfectly into their concept during the last season, when the player was on loan.

At the same time, there were some disputes regarding the amount that Manchester United demanded for the transfer before the window closed.

The general director of Betis, Ramon Alarcon, said that there was a discrepancy of about 5 million pounds between the clubs.

To resolve the financing, the club decided to launch a new clothing line inspired by Antony's recent tattoo with the inscription "Iluminado" (translated as 'enlightened') on his chest.

“We launched a clothing line with Antony, and we work with him through royalties,” Alarcon stated in an interview.

Antony will also receive additional income from the sales of this merchandise. Alarcon hopes that in the event of a successful career for the footballer, the club will be able to recoup its investments.

Difficulties with Antony's transfer

Negotiations regarding Antony's transfer were at risk 48 hours before the window closed due to additional payments that he believed he was owed from Manchester United.

“In the end, this issue was resolved, and United will receive 50% of any future transfer value,” Alarcon explained.

The club waited for the Glazer family to confirm the agreement in the US on the closing day before receiving final confirmation.

“There was a moment when we thought it was all lost, as United's position was difficult,” Alarcon noted.

Alarcon also added that the final confirmation was received early on Sunday morning, after which searches began for a plane to bring Antony to Betis.

Alarcon noted that after the final agreement on Monday, everything was resolved, and the transfer was successfully completed.

Statistics of Antony at Betis

The launch of the new clothing collection is a strategic move that highlights both Antony's talent on the field and his impact off it. It is not only a way for the club to compensate for the transfer costs; it is also an opportunity to engage fans and increase revenues through merchandise sales. A successful integration of Antony into the team could further strengthen this new brand, thus becoming part of not just the sports, but also the fashion culture within the club.
