Bukayo Saka may miss Manchester City match: injury details.
Arsenal's Bukayo Saka in race to be fit for Man City clash
According to The Sun: Arsenal player Bukayo Saka is doing everything he can to recover in time for the match against Manchester City next month in the Premier League.
During the 5-0 victory over Leeds United on Sunday at the Emirates, Saka sustained a thigh muscle injury and left the field in the 53rd minute.
“He felt something while running. That's never a good sign. But he has had such injuries before. He is definitely feeling it,” said head coach Mikel Arteta after the match.
Arteta explained that this new injury is in the opposite thigh muscle compared to the injury Saka sustained last December during the match against Crystal Palace, which led to a three-month absence due to surgery.
It is noted that this new issue is less serious and recovery will take about three to four weeks, rather than several months, as Arsenal plans to be very cautious not to rush Saka's return.
Potential month-long absence
It is likely that the Ukrainian will not be able to participate in the game against Liverpool at Anfield next week, and he will most likely miss the England national team's matches against Andorra on September 6 and Serbia on September 9.
