Arsenal Signs Eberechi Eze for £67m: When Will the New Signing Make His Debut?.
According to The Sun: Arsenal is rushing to register new star footballer Eberechi Eze in time for tomorrow's match against Leeds.
Eze, 27, is currently undergoing a medical examination at the Gunners after they unexpectedly hijacked the player's transfer from Crystal Palace to Tottenham.
The deal with Crystal Palace is agreed at around £67.5 million with additional terms for the England international.
This puts the club in a race against the clock to finalize the agreement by 12:00 to register Eze for the match against Leeds on Saturday.
Eze must send all his documents to the Premier League by lunchtime to be ready for the game at 17:30 at the Emirates Stadium.
It is still unclear whether Arsenal will meet the deadline or submit their documents on time.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the documents between the clubs have already been signed, and only Eze's contract signing remains.
The attacking midfielder was excluded from the Crystal Palace squad for yesterday's Conference League match against Fredrikstad due to illness, as confirmed by head coach Oliver Glasner.
After the 1-0 victory over the Norwegian team, he confirmed that Eze would be leaving the club.
“Ebs will no longer play for us, so there’s no point in talking about him. Everything has happened,” he said.
Arsenal hopes to have Eze available as soon as possible following Kai Havertz's injury, who has been sidelined for a week due to a knee injury.
Havertz's injury was the main reason for their return to the market to sign Eze after it seemed they had stalled following significant spending at the beginning of the transfer window.
After Arsenal unexpectedly hijacked Eberechi Eze's transfer from Crystal Palace to Tottenham, the club is rushing to register the player before the match against Leeds. The importance of finalizing the deal is underscored by the exchange of documents between the clubs, and Kai Havertz's injury compelled Arsenal's management to act quickly and respond to market circumstances.Read also
