Australia has imposed sanctions against three-time Olympic champion from Russia.
Australia has expanded its sanctions against Russia by adding 37 individuals and 7 organizations to the list. Among them are Russian journalists, top managers, and singer Shaman (Yaroslav Dronov).
Three-time Olympic synchronized swimming champion Maria Kiseleva has also been sanctioned.
Restrictions for executives of Russian companies
Additionally, the sanctions affect executives from companies such as 'Gazprom Neft', Gazprombank, 'RusHydro', 'Sovcomflot' and the leadership of Tatarstan.
Targeted sanctions against Russia's 'shadow fleet'
Australia has introduced targeted sanctions against 60 vessels linked to Russia's 'shadow fleet' for the first time. This step aims to avoid illegal trade in Russian oil and other sanctioned goods.
In response to Russian aggression against Ukraine and human rights violations, Australia is intensifying restrictive measures to pressure Russian citizens and companies that violate international norms.
