The Ukrainian soldier told how he was tortured by the Russian captors
Mykhailo Chaplia, a soldier from Kharkiv, spent 28 months in Russian captivity. He said he was tortured by a like-minded person from his home area, which is currently under heavy fire. The occupiers took his wedding ring and cross. Mykhailo was also beaten for talking to Russian propagandists.
The Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reported on the shootings of Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Kursk region. This is yet another war crime of Russia that violates international humanitarian law.
